Course Overview
Some Christians believe “stewardship” is only about how we deal with our finances and that “productivity” is a term from the secular business world with which believers need not concern themselves. But stewardship and productivity in the whole life of a believer are of paramount importance. How we invest the talents the Lord has entrusted us with—our skills, our money, our time, and our very lives—is the responsibility of every Christian, especially those who would serve in leading Christ’s church.
This course teaches the theological underpinnings of a biblical philosophy of stewardship and productivity, and also offers practical step-by-step guides on how to actually manage your time effectively using a variety of tools.
This 10-week series of online, on-demand videos, quizzes, reading assignments and discussion questions will be beneficial for any Christian seeking to “make the most of the time” (Ephesians 5:16) without just uncritically appropriating worldly productivity techniques along with their godless philosophy. Ministry leaders will especially benefit from the emphasis on applying these principles in a local church context.
This course is taken completely online, on-demand (at your own pace), but is designed to be taken over 10 weeks. The student should plan to allocate 2-3 hours each week to gain the most from the course. This includes approximately 60 minutes of pre-recorded video lectures and notetaking, 30-60 minutes of reading, and time for review, reflection, and quizzes.
