This course seeks to equip Christians (lay-leaders as well as pastors) who are looking to be more effective in their service to the local church by giving them an overview of the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.
This course will continue to survey the rest of the biblical teachings regarding Sin (Hamartiology), Salvation (Soteriology), the Church (Ecclesiology), the Last Things (Eschatology).
The focus is on understanding key passages that relate to each doctrine. Theological issues related to each doctrine will also be considered, focusing on those issues that are particularly pertinent to the context of the Philippines. The study is aimed at enhancing comprehension of the doctrines as well as understanding the implications of these doctrines in everyday life.
About your Instructor
A Systems Engineer by trade, Pastor Erwin Quimboy came to know the LORD in 1994. He was called to the pastoral ministry 10 years later (2004). He is now in his 20th year in the pastorate. A graduate of the Biblical Studies and the Expository Preaching program of The Expositor’s Academy, Pastor Erwin has been serving as one of TEA’s teachers for more than 8 years.
Married to Rita for 19 years, and blessed with an only daughter Yana who is now 16 years old, Pastor Erwin has been serving at Greenhills Christian Fellowship East for 8 years now as Senior Pastor.
