Course Description
The Old Testament Survey 2 Class introduces the students to the books of the Old Testament (Ezra to Song of Solomon) in a broad expositional summary fashion by starting with briefly examining the authorship, dating, historical backgrounds, geographical settings, historical and theological themes and literary structure and then to do an expositional walk through the book to enhance comprehension and contextual flow of the biblical text.

About your Instructor
Pastor Devraj Urs
Pastor Devraj Urs is the Director of The Expositor’s Academy in Southern Philippines. He was born and raised in India as a zealous Hindu. God sovereignly drew him to Jesus Christ in his late twenties when he was working in the US while being challenged to read the Bible and trying to prove that the Book was a human book and not divine. After working in Information Technology Management for several years he also served as a lay pastor-teacher for seven years at a local church in Southern California. The Lord led him to The Master’s Seminary for his theological training in 2007. Devraj is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles, California where he finished his pastoral training with a Master of Divinity in 2011 and a Master of Theology in Bible Exposition in 2013. He ministered at Grace Community Church in teaching, discipleship, and counseling before He was ordained by the elders of Grace Community Church to the gospel ministry. He served as a Pastor-Trainer at the TMAI Seminary in India for just over 3 years before God sovereignly moved him to the Philippines in 2017. Devraj leads the ministry of training national pastors in local churches in Mindanao, parts of Visayas as well as parts of South Asia in how to rightly divide the Word of God in preaching teaching, and counseling. He lives with his wife Tristy in Davao city and they actively participate in their local church. |
